Oh he wanted to go but Lori has a short lead on him so he has to stay in the kayak. With $4,000 worth of hearing aids she was not going swimming.

We are planning a trip further up river next weekend. About a mile and half. Twice yesterdays down and back in Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge.

We just got back a 2 hour paddle. 50 yards into it he jumped out. 4months old tomorrow and he towed Lori down stream till I got along side and helped get him back aboard. We let him swim at a dam we had to cross and that settled him down some. Pics may follow up to Lori and help from our Political analyst.

Guinness' kayaking days are over, He has Lymphoma. Imagine 2chessiesin a row getting a cancer extremely rare in chessies. We have pet insurance and will do what we can to keep him around as long as there is quality of life and no pain.
I found a lump in his throat Sunday. When I pointed it out to Lori she fond a corrosponding one on the other side. Got vet appointment this afternoon. He comfirmed and I take him for a couple more tests Thursday. Seems there are 2 types 1 responds to treatment and he could go into remission for some lenght of time. If it is the non -treatable kind we will enjoy what time we have left. We are heart broken and a bit stunned right now.
