I am having second thoughts on that little test after venturing out this morning.   It was 5 degrees then, which is balmy in comparison to the next few days.

It starts easy at 32 degrees I found out tonight.

I also found I have a loose connection in the headlight dim switch.  While playing around, I switched from high to low beam and it went dark.  A wiggle of the switch brought it back.   Repeated several times, duplicating it half the time.  Hadn't seen that before, but hadn't used it but a couple times before.

I forget which bike it was but I had one with a non operational multi function switch.  When I opened up the switch I found it packed with bug cocoons!

I've had to pick spider webs and eggs and carcasses from various switches over the years.   The smaller the openings, the more crap there is inside.
