Prosecutor heard from.  Not seen.  Heard from.

Kick back to the last post for a refresher on what's what.

Quote

"Somebody is threatening my family", Luisa Ortega said in a radio interview (Ed. Note:  From an undisclosed location.).  "They harass them.  They follow them, patrol cars that look like SEBIN", she said, referring to the Venezuelan government's Bolivarian Intelligence Service (SEBIN).

State officials have launched a series of verbal attacks on Ortega, ranging from questioning her sanity to accusing her of promoting violence.

Y'all wanna bet she gets "Breitbart'd", Scalia'd ?..... and in a very public manner too.  Message-nudge-sender.

Here's another message-nudge-sender:

Quote

Caracas, Venezuela - The Daily Telegraph - 13 June 2017  ---  The Venezuelan Supreme Court on Monday voted to reject a motion that would prevent President Nicolas Maduro from rewriting the country's constitution.  As a result.....

Venezuela protesters set fire to Supreme Court building.

Violence broke out in protests at the Supreme Court over a bid to change the constitution and Venezuela's chief prosecutor said on Monday her family had been threatened and followed by intelligence agents.

Outside the Supreme Court headquarters in downtown Caracas, protesters backing Ms Ortega were confronted earlier by government supporters.

Nada ver aqui, maing.

But like a good neighbor.....

Peru calls for regional action to avoid a 'sea of blood' from Venezuela.

Lima, Peru - Reuters - 13 June 2017  ---  Latin America needs to take action to help Venezuela resolve its political crisis or risk the country turning into a "sea of blood," Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski said.

"If nothing is done, we are going to end up with a sea full of blood."  He warned of the threat of massive immigration.....

Translation:  Build that wall.

Doctor !   Doctor !   Is there a doctor in the house ?!?

Quote
Doctors flee desperate Venezuela to work in safer places.

Ancud, Chile - The Wall Street Journal - 12 June 2017  ---  On a recent day in this remote Chilean island town, Dr. Jhomar Yansen rushed to operate on a man who had been kicked in the gut by a sheep and was suffering severe internal bleeding.

The surgeon used to work in his native Venezuela, saving patients with gunshot and knife wounds, until last year when he fled the chaotic, impoverished country like thousands of other professionals.

From the other side:   How pure evil views Venezuela's issues.

Iran state media - 17 June:   Maduro rebukes US for meddling in Venezuela's internal affairs.

Al Jazeera - 17 June:   Don't blame socialism for Venezuela's woes.

.....and how we missed this, eyedunno.

MSNBC - 21 April:   MSNBC host Rachel Maddow blames Trump for Venezuela crisis.

I haven't heard any of these things all over the news like I would expect.   Obviously, Kenny is making all this up.  It couldn't be anything else.

The following headline is from Reuters, 17 June 2017:

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro said Twitter is an "expression of fascism" after accounts linked to his government were suspended, accusing the U.S. company of persecuting his followers.

Twitter - The place that suspends and bans American conservatives and patriots who believe in freedom and rights for all, simply for being American conservatives and patriots who believe in freedom and rights for all.

Venezuela - The place that imprisons and disappears freedom-and-rights-seeking citizens, simply for being freedom-and-rights-seeking citizens.

Yep.

ZeroHedge - 18 June 2017  ---  The country’s cash hoard has fallen $326 million this week to $10.2 billion, near the 15-year low reached last month before the windfall.

*Poof* ; Gone.

Whatashocka.

Somebody might wish to look into Maduro's and his typical Muslim V.P.'s bank accounts, along with the accounts of the close-in circle folks.

Venezuela's Supreme Court cleared the way for a trial against the country's chief prosecutor.

Caracas, Venezuela - The Associated Press - 20 June 2017  ---  In a statement Tuesday, the government-stacked court said it had approved a request from a socialist party lawmaker to lift prosecutor Luisa Ortega Diaz's protection from prosecution for allegedly committing "grave errors" in her role as the nation's top law enforcement official.

In the past few weeks, as Ortega Diaz has pursued a number of legal actions seeking to block Maduro's power grab, government supporters have mounted a campaign to discredit her actions, alternately accusing her of being crazy or a spokeswoman for "right-wing terrorists".

Ortega remained defiant in the face of the high court's move, saying the ruling was an attack not against her but the very foundations of the Venezuela's democracy.  "Hanging over the country is a bleak outlook that could destroy the state."  And she added, "We have to begin demanding that they start providing the bills of where all this money is coming from that that they spend on stages and for the marches.  Maybe what they spend on stages would be better used buying medicine and food."

"All Venezuelans need to stand up to rescue our nation's democracy", National Assembly President Julio Borges said in a press conference surrounded by top opposition leaders.

Mr. Borges, your nation hasn't been an even remote ghost of a democracy since day one of the late Ooooogo Chavez' tenure, let alone his replacement Maduro.  Y'all g'wanna haffta git-r-done the old fashioned way.

As for Ms. Ortega-Diaz, the initial charges being brought are as follows:  Three counts of treason.

1.  Failure to assist in further destroying the few remaining rights of a long-ago free people.

2.  Disagreeing with President For Life Maduro on any matter.

3.  Speaking in public and through the media about unapproved topics and possible solutions that could actually help the people of Venezuela.

Tuesday, 27 June 2017

Venezuela's president for life Nicolas Maduro was speaking at a very large rally of his supporters.

The gathering was for the July 30th vote that will nudge shove a new constitution into immediate effect and legally wipe out any opposition.

'Normal' citizens of Venezuela have long-been disarmed.

Quote

Venezuela's Maduro warns of war.

Caracas, Venezuela - Reuters - 27 June 2017  ---  "I'm telling the world, and I hope the world listens after 90 days of protest, destruction and death, if Venezuela was plunged into chaos and violence and the Bolivarian Revolution destroyed, we would go to combat.  We would never give up, and what couldn't be done with votes, we would do with weapons, we would liberate the fatherland with weapons."

"Listen, President Donald Trump, you would have to build 20 walls in the sea, a wall from Mississippi to Florida, from Florida to New York, it would be crazy.  You have the responsibility:  Stop the madness of the violent Venezuelan right wing."

Sheeeee-yit, I lost a bunch of brain cells readin' that.

Quote

68 stores were looted and several government offices were burned following anti-government protests late Monday into Tuesday in the city of Maracay, west of Venezuela's capital of Caracas.

Caracas, Venezuela - The Associated Press - 27 June 2017  ---  The pro-Maduro governor of Aragua state, of which Maracay is the capital, said the looting hit supermarkets, drug stores and small bakeries and liquor stores.

At least 216 people were arrested.  Officially, 75 people have been killed nationwide during almost 90 days of protests seeking Maduro's removal.

Guaranteed, the number of citizens murdered and 'disappeared' by government forces is much higher.

From 11 June.....

A former ally of President Nicolas Maduro, Luisa Ortega, has turned against him during opposition protests that have led to at least 67 deaths, thousands of injuries, hundreds of arrests and widespread destruction.

From 21 June.....

Venezuela's Supreme Court cleared the way for a trial against the country's chief prosecutor.

And now.....

Bank accounts frozen, passport revoked, in-country movement restricted, more.

The only thing Maduro & Co. haven't done yet is officially arrested her - or made her disappear (which would more than likely be done in a very public display as a message-sender).

Quote

Bank accounts frozen, passport revoked, don't leave Caracas.  Venezuela's state prosecutor to be tried next week.

Caracas, Venezuela - The Associated Press - 29 June 2017  ---  Venezuela's Supreme Court barred the nation's chief prosecutor from leaving the country and ordered her bank accounts frozen hours after she delivered a scathing critique accusing President Nicolas Maduro of "state terrorism".

The government-stacked court announced Wednesday evening that it was proceeding with a complaint filed by a socialist party lawmaker accusing Luisa Ortega Diaz of acting as a de facto opposition leader in violation of her constitutional duties.

Venezuela's Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a number of rulings further blocking the opposition.

One ruling broadens the powers of staunchly pro-government ombudsman Tarek William Saab, allowing him to carry out criminal investigations that are the exclusive prerogative of Ortega's position.

A defiant Ortega said she won't recognize the new rulings which she portrayed as a brazen attempt to eliminate her position as Venezuela's top law enforcement official.

"These rulings are giving the power to investigate human rights abuses to people who are violating those rights", she said Wednesday in her strongest remarks since breaking with Maduro over a Supreme Court ruling in March that sought to strip the legislature of its last powers.  "I don't recognize these decisions", Ortega Diaz said to loud applause from aides.  "I promise you I will defend Venezuela's constitution and democracy even if it costs me my life."

Honest:   I'm actually surprised it hasn't already.

The headline should have read:

"Luisa Ortega Diaz to be tried for treason and anything else Maduro & Co. feel like charging her with doing."

  --  or  --

"Venezuela Supreme Court Makes Luisa Ortega Diaz A Non-Citizen."

Hey there President For Life Maduro, your attorney general, Ms. Luisa Ortega-Diaz, has subpoenaed General Gustavo Gonzalez - a guy who's - other than your typical Muslim V.P. - she's subpoenaed the guy who's pretty much your top-of-the-line murderer and disappearer of civilians best bud.  Whatcha gonna do 'bout it, son ?

Maduro:   Tome mi cerveza.  Mira esto.

Quote

Caracas, Venezuela - The Associated Press - 30 June 2017  ---  Luisa Ortega-Diaz's office announced it was summoning the chief of Venezuela's feared Sebin intelligence agency, Gustavo Gonzalez, to appear on suspicion of "committing grave and systemic violations of human rights".  Prosecutors said they are investigating incidents of illegitimate detentions, arbitrary raids and cases in which people have remained imprisoned despite court orders that they be freed.

Maduro responded hours later by promoting Gonzalez to head the nation's army.  Maduro called Gonzalez and Antonio Benavides Torres, another high-ranking official under investigation by the state prosecutor, "brave patriots" and added, "They have defended the peace of the republic and have all my support."

Vice President Tareck El Aissami told state broadcaster VTV on Friday that Ortega Diaz "acts like a militant for the opposition."  He said the Supreme Court's restrictions on her movements were warranted.  "They are necessary measures of justice", he said.

On hearing of General Gonzalez' promotion, along with President For Life Maduro's words and V.P. MoeHamHat KillTehJooz comments, Ms. Ortega-Diaz immediately demanded personal protection from The Inter-American Commission On Human Rights.

Since Venezuela has left the Organization Of American States and The Inter-American Commission On Human Rights is part of the OAS, it's unknown if the far-left 'human rights' organization even acknowledged her request.  They refused to offer any response to The Associated Press and anyone else who is asking about the matter.

Two entries within the previous pages of this thread about Venezuela have announcements that Nicolas 'El Controlador De Bus' Maduro, graciously and with malice aforethought, deigned to raise the national minimum wage by 50%, further decreasing the value of the nation's currency, while exponentially increasing the speed and strength of his nation's death-spiral.

We present yet another identical event, in what can now only be classified as part of a wilfull and purposeful 'nudge' towards the complete economic and societal collapse of Venezuela, in order to cement in place a permanent governance much more dangerous than the current form of Socialism.

Quote

Venezuelans to receive another 50% increase in the minimum wage.

Caracas, Venezuela - The Assocaited Press - 2 July 2017  ---  Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on his Sunday television show that the minimum wage will rise 50 percent starting this month.  Workers will earn at least 250,000 bolivars per month including food subsidies (this amounts to less than USD $35 at the black market exchange rate).

It's the third wage increase this year as triple-digit inflation erodes workers' savings in a nation where at least 80 people have died during the past three months of protests.....

.....in a nation where at least 80 Venezuelan citizens seeking basic individual rights and sane governance have been murdered by the Maduro government, along with an untold number of civilians, young and old, arrested and 'disappeared' during the past three months of protests.....

The attack was in plain view of national guardsmen assigned to protect the legislature.

Caracas, Venezuela - The Associated Press - 5 June 2017  ---  Four lawmakers were injured and blood was splattered on the legislature's walls.  One of them, Americo de Grazia, had to be taken in a stretcher to an ambulance suffering from convulsions, said a fellow congressman.

"This doesn't hurt as much as watching how every day how we lose a little bit more of our country", Armando Arias said from inside an ambulance as he was being treated for head wounds that spilled blood across his clothes.

Please read that again, so it sinks in a bit deeper.

If you need a little help deciphering what might be a tad confusing in the quote box, please allow me:

Those attacked were the Venezuelan Congress members in opposition to Maduro and the regime nudging Venezuela into Totalitarian rule.

The attackers:  Supporters of Maduro, his typical Muslim V.P. and the rest of their regime nudging Venezuela into Totalitarian rule.

They were using anything they could get their hands on..... except toys that go bang.

Why ?

This event was nothing less than a message-sender.  a.k.a., Maduro has already armed them, remember ?  Go back a page or two on this thread and you'll see it.

The attackers are basically saying, 'Hi, we absolutely hate you because you don't agree with Hillary Bernie Democrats the Maduro administration and are trying to legally stop our nudging takeover of the country.  Hillary Bernie Democrats The Maduro administration promised us hopeandchange they'll do everything to fundamentally transform Venezuela, redistribute wealth and stop the so-called patriots take care of us.

And the national guard - employees of the Maduro government, vetted to obey orders - did nothing to stop the attack.

Here's a hint:   Next time, the 'government supporters' are gonna bring the toys.  And the national guardsmen will almost assuredly join in with them.

Raw video from The Associated Press:
